Portage Atlantic helps hundreds of youth – ages 14 to 21 – overcome addictions to alcohol and drugs at its residential treatment center located on the shores of Cassidy Lake near Sussex, New Brunswick. Portage also has facilities in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia.
Miracles have been happening at Portage’s Cassidy Lake treatment centre. Ongoing support from the Future Focus Foundation has been tremendous and has been evidenced throughout the duration of the “Making Miracles Happen” Capital Campaign. With the help of Future Focus, Portage Atlantic completed construction on new facilities that create an environment of recovery for at-risk youths trying to overcome addictions.
Portage Atlantic is currently working in partnership with the Future Focus Foundation to raise funds for the creation of the Recovery Trail System. The belief is an enhanced outdoor recreation component at Cassidy Lake will help to strengthen the minds and bodies of recovering youth while improving accessibility to the natural beauty of the Centre’s lakeside property.

A few years ago it was so apparent that a miracle was needed to transform our facilities into the therapeutic and productive environment it needed to be. When we look around the Cassidy Lake treatment centre today, we can all be very proud and thankful for T4G’s dedication to this cause.
