Pathways to Education Canada is a charitable organization created to reduce poverty and its effects by lowering the high school dropout rate and increasing access to post-secondary education among disadvantaged youth.
Dating back to 2003 — soon after the inception of the Pathways program — T4G helped develop a key strategy document that articulated the social “return on investment” positioning that has been instrumental in communicating the Pathways value proposition to society. Since then the organization has expanded from being a single proof-of-concept site in Toronto’s Regent Park to one that will soon be helping 3,300 at-risk students graduate from high school through 11 program sites in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Manitoba. Pathways is now expanding with local partners to five additional locations in Canada.
