Stride for Success relay raises $4,000 in Saint John

A July 10 relay across the Port City’s Lily Lake Pavilion course raised a cool four grand towards a hiking and biking trail at Portage’s Cassidy Lake treatment facility that helps young people overcome addictions.

Sponsored by T4G and Future Focus, the relay was the first step towards raising $60,000 over three years for trail’s renovation. “Portage provides support to young people in Atlantic Canada who are working to overcome substance abuse and we know that outdoor physical activity provides an abundance of positive outcomes,” says Carole Tracey, director of corporate development for Portage in Atlantic Canada.
